Media release — The December edition of diamond Comic Distributors’ PREVIEWS catalog arrives in comic shops, hobby stores, and other direct market outlets on November 30 and features comic books, graphic novels, toys, and additional pop culture products scheduled to go on sale beginning February 2012.
The front cover of this month’s catalog showcases DC Comics’ DETECTIVE COMICS #6, a December Gem of the Month from writer/artist Tony S. Daniel. plot twists and cliffhangers have made Detective Comics – part of DC’s new 52 initiative – a series comic news sites have taken note of and reviewers have praised. December’s back cover is dedicated to the equally dark and exciting CONAN THE BARBARIAN #1, the start of Dark horse Comics’ new ongoing series from Brian Wood, the acclaimed writer of Northlanders and DMZ. another Gem of the Month, the first issue of the fantasy series begins an adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s “Queen of the Black Coast” story, in which Conan takes to the high seas with a pirate queen.
