Best Manga Voting begins February 5!

Crunchyroll, the anime (and manga) streaming service, has introduced their second annual Anime Awards. new this year is a finest Manga category, which you will be able to vote in starting Monday, February 5. The six nominees (in alphabetical order) are:

Delicious in Dungeon by Ryoko Kui (Yen Press)

Descending Stories: show Genroku Rakugo Shinju by Haruko Kumota (Kodansha Comics)

Golden Kamuy by Satoru Noda (VIZ Media)

In This corner of the world by by Fumiyo Kouno (Seven Seas Entertainment)

My Brother’s hubby by Gengoroh Tagame (Pantheon Books)

My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness by Nagata Kabi (Seven Seas Entertainment)

I was honored to be asked to be a judge for this award, together with Brigid Alverson, Deb Aoki, Valerie Complex, Katherine Dacey, Zack Davisson, Megan DeYarman, as well as Jason Thompson. While I didn’t necessary like every title on this list, I believe it’s a fantastic representation of the variety of manga published in 2017. as well as who would have guessed seven Seas would get the most nominations?
