The shadow Over Innsmouth
January 20th, 2014, Mt. Laurel, NJ – new York Comic-Con Announcement: The shadow series gets a special one-shot in April of 2014. The shadow Over Innsmouth is written by Ron Marz (Green Lantern) as well as artist Matthew Dow Smith. Crafting a shadow story like no other as well as putting the pulp avenger in H.P. Lovecraft’s famous setting for a truly influenced one-shot, this large problem will be offered in April.
In The shadow Over Innsmouth, the fog-shrouded town of Innsmouth holds deep secrets. There are legends of inhuman creatures increased from the depths, of supernatural rites as well as elder gods from beyond. When Lamont Cranston as well as Margo Lane discover themselves trapped in Innsmouth, terrible truths will surface… truths only the shadow can know.
“Certainly the title alone made this a natural story to tell, however more than that, both the shadow as well as Lovecraft’s mythos are products of the exact same era,” states writer Ron Marz. “They both have pulp roots, so in spite of the Shadow’s criminal offense positioning as well as Lovecraft’s overt horror, there’s a similarity in mood. I tried to put together the shadow as well as the Innsmouth legend in a method that stays true to both of them. as well as obviously I couldn’t request a much better artist collaborator that my friend Matthew Dow Smith. If anybody in comics understands shadows, it’s Matthew.”
